Christmas is just 28 days away and we all can sense the change in our community as things start to get a little more hectic. It is so sad that the lead up to Christmas is many people’s busiest moments. When the story of Christmas, that is the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ in Bethlehem, is the story of peace coming to a ‘hectic’ world. It is at this moment in our lives as Christians that we should be living in the exact opposite manner of the world’s empty busyness. It is time to prepare ourselves, our families, our friends and neighbours with the “wonder” of God’s precious gift of His Son Jesus and the blessed grace He came to give. This Christmas, ensure you and your family enjoy the blessedness of the Christmas season, the wonder of Christ’s birth and let the joy of that amazing event dominate your home and life.
For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given…
O give thanks to the Lord for He is good Psalm 107:13 The Apostle Paul in the midst of great adversity, languishing in a Roman prison, knew the meaning of true thanksgiving. He wrote during this experience in Ephesians 5…always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Paul had that daily reality that made him joyful in every circumstance. May we learn to grow in this area. I look forward to hearing our words of “Thanksgiving” unto the Lord today!
CCSH has a tithe and offering container at the left side of the sanctuary as you enter for your grace giving for the work of the Lord here. – CCSH Account number: 2490144 & BSB: 306089 for those who wish to give electronically.
We ask that once the service has commenced that should you need to leave the sanctuary that you are mindful to not be a distraction to those worshipping and listening to God’s Word. If you are returning the ushers will direct you to seating at the back of the sanctuary – thank you for your consideration.
