“Prayer – It’s Priority!”
From the Pastor’s Desk
In a marriage, when one goes through a trial, a time of difficulty, the husband or wife of in that relationship also too goes through a time of testing and struggle. Additional load falls to the healthy one, extra responsibilities, as the one not struck down watches on as their spouse comes under pain or suffering. Jesus said, Mat 19:5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
The next time you see one cut down or suffering in a marriage through illness or suffering, take time out to be a comfort, a strength and support to he or she who is in the struggle as well. They too need prayer, kindness and comfort at such a time. To my wife Helen, thank you for being such a blessing in my time of physical struggle!
I have loved you with an everlasting love: I have drawn you with loving kindness – Jer 31:3 So often in our zeal to serve the Lord we can often unwittingly allow the busyness of ministry to take over. Remember as Jesus reminded the church at Ephesus, You have forsaken your first love – Rev 2:4, Jesus wants our love for Him to outweigh our work for Him. Let’s consider God’s warning and repent and do that which we did at the beginning of our salvation and our works will be an overflow of His love.
CCSH has a tithe and offering container at the left side of the sanctuary as you enter for your grace giving for the work of the Lord here. – CCSH Account number: 2490144 & BSB: 306089 for those who wish to give electronically.
Families remember to facilitate the children to be able to give during their time of worship and praise – it’s grace giving in its simplest and most delightful manner!
We ask that once the service has commenced that should you need to leave the sanctuary that you are mindful to not be a distraction to those worshipping and listening to God’s Word. If you are returning the ushers will direct you to seating at the back of the sanctuary.
Please help our ushers each Sunday by filling the front seat rows first completely before looking to use those in the rear of the sanctuary. The back seats are set-aside only for families with small children.
Be part of the prayer team who meet at 9:45am in S/S Room #1 prior to the service. Be part of the servant team who do their best work unseen by others.
