News Break Today we celebrate with a baby dedication! The 24/7 prayer team grew by eight prayer warriors last Sunday. There is still room for you – get active and join up! Our Wednesday night prayer group is slowly increasing. We encourage you to join this group of leaders as they intercede each Wednesday for the prayer needs and ministries of the church. Our new fence is in as you can see. We ask that parents still however keep a watchful eye on our smallest of saints from cars leaving church and passing traffic. Remember, we have an overflow car park facility available in the childcare centre ocean side of the chapel. Next week we will be celebrating communion together. There are still some trainee media and sound positions to be filled. We would especially like the ladies to apply so we can fully utilise our equipment when the ladies have their special services. See Thomas Woodage (sound) or Richard Austin (media) for further information.

From the Pastors Desk – If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins – 1 Cor 15:17 Forgiveness is one of the most wonderful basic human needs – when we receive it! The head of a large English mental hospital stated: “I could dismiss half my patients tomorrow if they could be assured of forgiveness”. When Jesus spoke at the last supper before His crucifixion, He told the disciples, this is the blood of the new covenant…poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins – Matthew 26:28. Thus Jesus linked our forgiveness with His death. But how can we know that He was correct, that He achieved by His death what He said He would achieve, and that God has accepted His death in our place as a full, perfect, and sufficient sacrifice for our sins? Christ’s resurrection is His answer! The next time you feel doubt about God’s forgiveness for your sins, remember the tomb is empty – Christ has risen! You are forgiven!

Helen’s Heart I will forgive their wickedness and I will remember their sins no more – Jer 31:34. It is a difficult thing to forgive someone else especially if you think about how your feelings are hurt. But it isn’t about us, its about God. Through the agony on the cross He said, Father forgive them Luke 23:34. How can we deny forgiveness to others and ourselves if God says I forgive? The only option for us is to accept and extend forgiveness to those who’ve sinned against us and forgive ourselves. Make forgiveness your act of worship. Overwhelmingly Saturday morning was the preferred time for working mums Bible study. The aim is 9:30am start and out by 11:00am. Thanks to all who completed the survey. Will keep you posted as to the start day. – Helen J
