From the Pastors Desk –
Manchester 22 dead, more than 55 injured. Egypt 28 Christians killed and dozens more wounded….a very tragic week! We as a church have much to pray for this week. Manchester families, Egyptian brothers and sisters in Christ need our prayer support in this most difficult of times. Our prayers can do more than anything else that our world can strive to do. We are living in a time like no other and God is calling us to pray for those who are suffering the worst moments in their lives. Let us honour God’s call to our hearts this week and spend time on our knees for those whose lives have been savaged by he who is our foe as well – Eph 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
From Helen’s Heart
As a mum we struggle with the demands each day brings. Often we cannot do all on our ‘to do’ list and often feel we’ve failed and are prone to self-condemnation. God offers a relationship where we are not condemned. He simply tells us if we confess our sins He will keep His promise and do what is right; He will forgive our sins and purify us from all our wrongdoing – 1 John 1:9 GNT
If you feel you’ve failed or are feeling the weight of other’s expectations turn to God in prayer and experience the relief as He accepts you forgiven and restored.
Women’s Study – 9:30am Tuesday – see you there – Helen
CCSH has a tithe and offering container at the left side of the sanctuary as you enter for your grace giving for the work of the Lord here. – CCSH Account number: 2490144 & BSB: 306089 for those who wish to give electronically. 2Co 9:6 Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.
We ask that once the service has commenced that should you need to leave the sanctuary that you are mindful to not be a distraction to those worshipping and listening to God’s Word. If you are returning please do so to the seating at the back of the sanctuary – thank you for your consideration.
