Calvary Chapel Prayer Meeting

“The Reality of Hell!”

From the Pastor’s Desk

On behalf of Helen and myself we wish to thank you for praying for us, especially those who gathered last Wednesday evening here at the chapel. To me, that time can be either our greatest weakness when we neglect it or our greatest opportunity when we commit to it, for God’s power to flow through for the impossible to be sought and achieved. The Bible says, Psalm 39:4 “LORD, make me to know my end, And what is the measure of my days, That I may know how frail I am.5 Indeed, You have made my days as handbreadths, And my age is as nothing before You; Certainly every man at his best state is but vapor. 6 Surely every man walks about like a shadow ;Surely they busy themselves in vain; He heaps up riches, And does not know who will gather them.7 “And now, Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in You. These beautiful words from the Lord mean so much the more now! Our Lord is most wonderful and merciful. We are overwhelmed with His goodness!

 Helen’s Heart

When times are tough, there is only one security – our Lord. He sees and cares about what is happening in our lives at this very moment. He rescues us because He delights in us and gives us peace and comfort and assurance. He is at hand. This is exactly what occurred during Ps Keith’s recent hospital visit – I could not look to the medical staff (although they did an excellent job) but there was an overwhelming peace that God was in control and all would be fine. Thank you for all your prayers – Praise God Ps Keith is recovering well – Helen J

Calvary Women’s Bible studies are in recess until schools resume.

CCSH has a tithe and offering container at the left side of the sanctuary as you enter for your grace giving for the work of the Lord here. – CCSH Account number: 2490144 & BSB: 306089 for those who wish to give electronically.

Families remember to facilitate the children to be able to give during their time of worship and praise – it’s grace giving in its simplest and most delightful manner!

 Church Etiquette

We ask that once the service has commenced that should you need to leave the sanctuary that you are mindful to not be a distraction to those worshipping and listening to God’s Word. If you are returning the ushers will direct you to seating at the back of the sanctuary – thank you for your consideration.

Please assist our ushers each Sunday by filling the front seat rows first completely before looking to use those in the rear of the sanctuary. The back seats are set-aside only for families with small children.

Make a difference to our services – join the prayer team who meet at 9:45am in S/S Room #1 prior to the service. Be part of the servant team who do their best work unseen by others.
