 From the Pastor’s Desk

This week I visited a retired police officer in a hospital care facility. He was unavailable to see immediately so I had to wait some time at the centre. During that time I was moved by the sad and lonely faces of many of the people spending their last years, and for some their last weeks in such a place. I said hello to a frail little lady who was in a room opposite to where I was waiting who was sitting on a chair staring at me. The look in her eyes and the quietness of her response was very sad to behold. As I left the facility a short time later verses in the book of Genesis replayed over in my mind. Sin entered a most beautiful world and with it came death and loneliness. This loneliness was a direct result of our separation from God. As Christians we have such a vast mission and so many people to share the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with. For Christ came to remove our sin once and for all and He also came to adopt us back into the family of God so that we may have full fellowship with Him once again. I pray this week you share the good news with someone lonely who is at this moment separated from God by their sin. Don’t miss the mission field God has for you. Today is the Day of Salvation!

Helen’s Heart

Choose this day whom you will serve – Josh 24:15 When we face decisions we need to remember God is interested in our lives and what is best for us. He has a perfect plan for our lives and wants us to choose it rather than the path Satan would have us go. God gives us wisdom and works through other people to understand our situation or the Holy Spirit to guide us. May your decisions committing your way to Him – if you acknowledge Him in all your ways – He will direct you. See you Tuesday ladies at 9:30 am – Helen J

CCSH has a tithe and offering container at the left side of the sanctuary as you enter for your grace giving for the work of the Lord here. – CCSH Account number: 2490144 & BSB: 306089 for those who wish to give electronically.

2Co 9:6 remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.

Church Etiquette

We ask that once the service has commenced that should you need to leave the sanctuary that you are mindful to not be a distraction to those worshipping and listening to God’s Word. If you are returning please do so to the seating at the back of the sanctuary – thank you for your consideration.
