Calvary Chapel Prayer Meeting

Ps Gary Nelson

From the Pastor’s Desk

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. Ever made a wrong choice? Have you ever made a bad choice? All of us at some time have made decisions, taken actions that have resulted in miserable and often hurtful outcomes. This year at CCSH, we are seeking God’s wisdom through the study of the Bible, so that we may learn to make good decisions, godly decisions. I have learnt over the years I have walked with the Lord to take my hand off the rudder and now let God make all the decisions my life must deal with. It has taught me to be very patient when making decisions, to not be in haste at any time with matters. I have learnt that God is never in a hurry and that my impatience is a problem that needs to be in one place all the time – at the foot of the cross. This year, enjoy the freedom of having God be your Good Shepherd. Let Him lead you and guide you. He will always make the right decision for you.

 Helen’s Heart

Who being in very nature, God did not consider equality with God something to be grasped…found in appearance as a man He humbled Himself and became obedient to death – even death on a cross – Phil 1:6,9. – The New Year often sprouts ‘be the new assertive you, emerge! Demand your rights, have your ‘Me’ time”. It’s called pride and selfishness. Bethlehem showed us that this is not God’s way. This coming year why don’t you demonstrate to a watching world how God’s children resolve conflicts? Humble yourself and give up your ‘rights’.

Calvary Women’s Bible studies are in recess until schools resume.

SERVING AT Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour

The church at CCSH continues to grow and ministries continue to be required to meet the needs of the families that call CCSH home. This year 2018, we are looking for servants who are faithful in attendance and have God given abilities to serve in areas that the church is looking for. Pray and seek the Lord and if that sounds like you then fill in a Connection Card and offer yourself to become part of the servant team here at CCSH. But, it will mean that you are dependable, faithful and responsible. Serving here at CCSH we take seriously and thus you must truly have a servant’s heart to be part of this ministry – it’s a commitment that needs serious consideration. – Ps Keith

CCSH has a tithe and offering container at the left side of the sanctuary as you enter for your grace giving for the work of the Lord here. – CCSH Account number: 2490144 & BSB: 306089 for those who wish to give electronically.

Dads and mums, don’t forget to allow the children to be able to give during their time of worship and praise – it’s grace giving at its best.

 Church Etiquette

We ask that once the service has commenced that should you need to leave the sanctuary that you are mindful to not be a distraction to those worshipping and listening to God’s Word. If you are returning the ushers will direct you to seating at the back of the sanctuary – thank you for your consideration.

Dads, mums and kids, put it in your diaries – January 2018 CCSH will be having Vacation Bible School here on the church grounds! Commencing – Monday January 22nd

Please keep the CCSH tour group currently in Israel in your prayers please.
