You are invited to join with Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour this Sunday evening from 6.00 p.m. for Part 5 of our series through the book of Job titled “Out of the Ashes”. This week the message is called ‘Faith Without Illusions’.
It’s often declared today that as long as you have faith, that’s what matters most. In saying so, people don’t stop to consider the implications of this statement. Truly, faith for the sake of faith is superficial – it matters supremely what the object of your faith is. But then there are others, who because of the difficulty of life, have given up believing that there is any hope of deliverance from the dire circumstances or situation they find themselves – they have become cynical and bereft of faith. How can we pursue a faith that is neither cynical nor superficial? This week, looking at Job 19:19-29 we will study the importance of being honest about our suffering while firmly hoping in the eternal redemption found in Jesus Christ.
See you on Sunday the 1st of October from 6.00 p.m. for worship and study in God’s word.
