From the Pastor’s Desk
We arrived back home from Israel Saturday morning at 4:00am. It was an amazing time in the Holy Land, the land where God walked as a man! But in my heart on arrival was another great thankfulness for those who had looked after the ‘stuff’ back home whilst we were away. In particular Pastor Nathanael. David’s men went to battle often but there was always those who stayed and watched over, kept safe the women and children and all the equipment, food and livestock so those who had gone off to battle knew home was in safe hands along with their treasured loved ones – 1Sa 25:13
And David said unto his men, Gird ye on every man his sword. And they girded on every man his sword; and David also girded on his sword: and there went up after David about four hundred men; and two hundred abode by the stuff. Without such courageous and diligent men, watching safe over things, the other men could not have ever left camp. So to Pastor Nathanael and those who watched over the “stuff” whilst the CCSH tour group were in Israel, we praise and thank God for you. The church of God in Secret Harbour was in blessed hands!
Blessed is the man who does not walk I the counsel of the wicked…but his delight is in the law of the Lord..He is like a tree planted by the streams…which bears fruit and its leaf does not wither –Psalm 1:1-9 When at the Western wall I observed a young Jewish lady gently place her Bible on a shelf before entering the restroom. But before she did, she kissed the front cover of her Bible. This demonstrated to me such a respect and reverence for God’s Holy Word. When we walk by faith reading and meditating on God’s Word instead of how we feel, we will grow into a tree of righteousness. This is our choice to endure and gain victory over any adversity. Will you choose to trust His Word and be strong?
Calvary Women’s Bible studies are in recess until schools resume.
CCSH has a tithe and offering container at the left side of the sanctuary as you enter for your grace giving for the work of the Lord here. – CCSH Account number: 2490144 & BSB: 306089 for those who wish to give electronically.
Dads and mums, don’t forget to allow the children to be able to give during their time of worship and praise – it’s grace giving at its best.
We ask that once the service has commenced that should you need to leave the sanctuary that you are mindful to not be a distraction to those worshipping and listening to God’s Word. If you are returning the ushers will direct you to seating at the back of the sanctuary – thank you for your consideration.
It’s COMING SOON – January 2018 CCSH will be having Vacation Bible School here on the church grounds! Commencing – Monday January 22nd…
