Citizens – Part 1: Life in Today’s Culture

You are invited to join with Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour this Sunday evening from 6.00 p.m. as we commence a new series called “Citizens” from the New Testament book of Titus.

The good news of what God has done for humanity doesn’t just affect our individual lives; it transforms entire communities. When people place faith in Jesus Christ, they become citizens of God’s heavenly city, while also seeking the flourishing and renewal of their earthly cities. These dual citizens celebrate the beauty of their particular city while also identifying with its brokenness, challenging its idols, and sharing the gospel – the one message that can bring lasting transformation. Simply put, the health of our church is essential for the renewal of our suburb.

The book of Titus is a powerful and concise manifesto of why the church matters and how God’s incredible grace can change a heart, a community, and an entire city.

Particularly, this week we will study Titus 1:1-4 and consider how we can navigate our lives in a culture of countless paths, ideas, and opinions. In this week’s message from Titus 1:1-4 we will see how the gospel of Jesus Christ forms our identity, behaviour, and beliefs, while also fulfilling our deepest needs.

See you on Sunday the 21st of January from 6 p.m. for worship and study in God’s word as we consider this important message and begin this new series.
