Christmas – God became a man, born in a manger as a newborn child.
Now the Eternal, Almighty, Creator of all things, all power God was contained in the tiny body of a newborn babe – the Word unable to speak a word…
This little babe would feel the cold of our winters, the heat of our summers, the weariness of serving, the trouble of hunger, the pain of rejection, the agony of brutality, the absolute heartache of loneliness, and He would suffer and die…..
Why did God do this? – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
God went through all of this because He loves you.
This is the reason for Christmas – celebrate it like you never have before!
At your family gathering – ask to pray and give thanks for those gathered with you, the food that has been lovingly prepared, but finish off by giving thanks with passion and heart felt joy for the birth of Jesus Christ and what His coming means for you!
Remember it’s Christmas!
Don’t forget to be with the rest of the body of Christ this Wednesday 7:00pm at the chapel as we pray and study – “Just Who is This Jesus!”
