Welcome today to CCSH, we pray the Lord’s blessing be with you. Tonight, be encouraged to join us as we continue our study through the Bible, with our depth teaching through the Book of Acts. Those travelling to Israel, please meet with Pastor Keith & Helen next Sunday morning after the service in classroom 1. Wednesday night is Calvary Community Groups. We encourage you to be a part of one of the existing groups as the church here at CCSH seeks to follow the model of the early church as described in Acts 2:46-47. Your participation will be a blessing to others! There will be an Ushers and Greeters meeting on Sunday the 29th, for all those currently serving in those ministries and for any who would like to be considered for this important ministry. Great to see more prayer warriors being part of the pre-service prayer on Sunday mornings. Please make a habit of using our updated new web page and keep in touch with what’s happening here at CCSH. Don’t forget to hand in your Operation Christmas Child boxes!

People often take things lightly in regard to responsibility and accountability in our world today. How often have you been in a store or a restaurant seeking service and not only have you not been assisted but also been on the end of a “don’t care” attitude? God has given each of us as His children, great privileges, and amazing opportunities and with that comes even greater responsibility. Except, in our opportunities we are dealing with the most precious of all things – people’s souls. May we never take any ministry we do for the Lord lightly. No matter what it may be. May we always realize we are serving the Lord God Almighty. The next time God directs you to minster to someone, please take a moment to consider not only the privilege God has given you to serve them, but also the precious lives of the people you are ministering to. It is these blessed souls that our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ suffered and died for. Surely they must be the most valuable of all of God’s creation! Remember it is these fragile souls that Jesus came to save. The cost of each one was a price that only heaven could bring. Eph 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
Wherefore the rather, brethren give diligence to make your calling and election sure for if you do these things, you shall never fall – 2 Peter 1:10 The calling of God is by grace and not works (2 Tim 1:9) however it is possible for a person to mistakenly believe he/she has been called, so… we need to be sure of our calling. One who is truly called will love God (Rom 8:28) with his/her whole heart. One who is called will walk worthy of this vocation Eph 4:1,2. And we need to examine ourselves that we are in the faith (2 Cor 13:3). God also calls us to a particular service – for instance Paul was separated to the Gospel of God (Rom 1:1). Whatever service we are called we need to press toward…the high calling of God in Christ Jesus Phil 3:14. Thus ensuring our calling and election….

You should follow the same procedure I gave to the churches in Galatia. 2 On the first day of each week, you should each put aside a portion of the money you have earned. Don’t wait until I get there and then try to collect it all at once.
