What a blessing to have so many at the mid week prayer meeting last Wednesday – much was done in the heavenlies. You are welcome to be a part of the most important ministry prior to the services on Sunday by praying with others in classroom 1. It makes a power of difference. This week we are back to Community Groups so be sure to connect with other believers in CCSH. Those travelling to Israel please ensure you obtain the new newsletter #2 from the foyer with some more information updates. Again a special thank you to all those servants who have prepared the church grounds and facilities for us to gather in Christ’s name today. To serve here at CCSH simply fill in a Connection Card available from the ushers or any of the Pastors. Time to prepare for our special Thanksgiving Service – Sunday November 24. Be praying about what you would like to share with the church as part of the Thanksgiving service. We will be asking you to write down and then display the great things God has done for you this past 12 months. Pastors are available to pray with you after each service. Please keep any movement during the services, especially the teaching of the word, to a minimum so as not to be a distraction to others at this important time. Keep up with everything on our new webpage www.ccsh.com.au

How do you prepare for church? Do you make any preparation at all beyond simply dressing to come? Our society is consumed with selfishness. Sadly veins of this have infiltrated the church as well. May I ask you to prepare for church in opposition to this world’s selfish philosophy and ways? Before you come, please pray for all those who will be serving in some capacity. Pray especially for those ministering to the children and ask God to give a tender heart for those who serve as greeters, the very first people all will meet. Pray for the worship team as they lead us in this most privileged of opportunities, that of worshipping our Heavenly Father. Pray that there will be no disruptions, equipment failures during the services. Importantly pray for any people who have come to seek and find Christ that they will receive Christ as their Lord and Saviour both in the adult service and in the children’s ministries. Finally, may you prepare your heart to be open to God’s leading on how you could minister with a kind word or tender heart to someone. Wrap all of that up in a spirit of thankfulness and reverence towards God and you are ready for church. The Lord bless you in this ministry.
Not slothful in business, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord. Romans 12:11 Jesus, our example, even at the tender age of 12 knew His mission/calling in life. When His parents frantically searched for Him for three days and found Him in the Temple He said to them, “Don’t you know I must be about My Father’s business?” We have a higher calling and we need to give diligence to make this sure. Work the works of God while we can. The time is so short so run that race that you may obtain. “Mum’s and Bubs” Bible study will commence the 22nd of October due to staggered school starts. See you then as we commence our studies on “Loving Our Husband”.
CCSH has a tithe and offering container at the left side of the sanctuary as you enter for your grace giving for the work of the Lord here. – CCSH Account number: 2490144 & BSB: 306089 for those who wish to give electronically. 1 Cor 16:1 Now regarding your question about the money being collected for God’s people in Jerusalem. You should follow the same procedure I gave to the churches in Galatia. 2 On the first day of each week, you should each put aside a portion of the money you have earned. Don’t wait until I get there and then try to collect it all at once.
