Those travelling to Israel, please meet with Pastor Keith & Helen this morning after the service in classroom 1. There will be an Ushers and Greeters meeting on Sunday the 29th, for all those currently serving in those ministries and for any who would like to be considered for this important ministry. Don’t forget to hand in your Operation Christmas Child boxes! Young Adults are meeting – “Smores and games” night at the Crabtree’s house, Saturday 28th September 7:30 – 9:30pm. Pastors are available to pray with you after the service for any needs you may have. If any one has a trailer and is able to take some items from the church to the tip could they please notify one of the pastors after the service. During the service we ask that you be mindful of not moving so as not to be a distraction to others especially during the teaching of the Word.
From the Pastor’s Desk
One of the great weapons of the enemy of the Lord, that is Satan, is his relentless attack upon God’s people to make them feel unloved, unwanted! It is amazing as our world goes about its business each day, that we so often hide such emotions completely from others. We are busy with so many things and we hide a great deal of our inner person keeping such things to ourselves. If you ever find yourself thinking that your existence, your life would not be missed by anyone please don’t believe that which is the greatest of all lies from our adversary the devil. The truth of the matter the Bible tells us wonderfully and continually. Let me give the first great argument of truth from the Bible against the lie of the enemy. Jhn 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. That’s you God is talking about, your in the world! But that is not the end of it. Not only does God’s Word tell you of God’s love for you. It also tells you that God brings you personally into His family – He adopts you as His own! He chose us in Him before the creation of the world…to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will – Eph 1:4-5.
I acknowledge my sin to you…and you forgave the guilt of my sin – Psalm 32:5 If there s secret sin in our lives as a child of God, this is a serious threat to our inner peace. When Jesus washed Peter’s feet, Peter did not want a part of it. When it was explained that he could have no part of Jesus otherwise, Peter declared wash all of me. Jesus said this was not necessary when we receive Jesus we are made clean but as the disciples feet of service ‘got dirty’, so do we in the world. We need to daily be cleansed. The grind of an unforgiving conscience is awful, but great joy and relief having our sins forgiven. It’s wonderful!

You should follow the same procedure I gave to the churches in Galatia. 2 On the first day of each week, you should each put aside a portion of the money you have earned. Don’t wait until I get there and then try to collect it all at once.
