From the Pastor’s Desk The unfolding of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple – Psalm 119:130. How often do we tell ourselves we ought to know more about the Bible – but perhaps you are like many other Christians: It’s so overwhelming you’ve never really gotten into it. The first step is to realize what it is: God’s “love letter” to you. From one end to the other it tells of God’s love for us – a love so great that He sent His Son into the world to redeem us, rescue us! You would not ignore a letter from someone who loved you: don’t ignore God’s love letter either. Helen and I will be walking in the footsteps of Jesus in the Holy Land with the CCSH tour group and being enveloped with the beauty of God’s people and His precious land. But our hearts will remain here in Secret Harbour with you all as this is our home and the place God has placed us to serve Him. We will continue to hold you all each day in our prayers and look forward to studying the Book of Ephesians on our return. Remember Jesus is coming soon. Pastor Israel and Pastor Marlon will be teaching in our absence and God will bless you richly through their ministry.

Helen’s Heart Behold I am coming quickly – Rev 22:7 – In this world where there is so much darkness and evil reigning, it can be easy to develop an attitude of pessimism. However, we have the Word of God, the Bible, and I have read the end of the book. It speaks hope to me and optimism. It speaks of a heavenly city made by God where the redeemed will be superior to angels. Rev 22:5 states there’ll be no night there and no need of sunlight for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever. We are to continue shining our light in this dark world and be patient standing firm for the Lord’s coming is near – James 5:8 May you continue with courage in Christ this week.
