“Just Who is Jesus Christ?”
From the Pastor’s Desk
It’s nearly Christmas and I can’t wait for Christmas Day to celebrate with family the joy of Christ’s coming as a babe in Bethlehem. I remember as a young child trying to stay up to see if I could see Father Christmas shoot across the evening sky. As I see the world changing so dramatically each day before our eyes, my eyes are still looking toward the heavens. But now I am constantly watching and waiting for my Saviour Jesus Christ to return for me. My expectation and my vision is greatly different to that of mine as a child those Christmas Eves, but my expectancy is very much that of a child still!
Thanks be to God for His indiscibable gift 2 Cor 9:15 I love receiving gifts from people who have put in a lot of effort – a hand made craft, a hand-knitted sweater even a personalised poem. It seems as though the giver has lovingly thought of the recipient with each step. Our Heavenly Father lovingly gave His Son, His gift born for you. Jesus is the gift.
The women had a ‘wonderful’ time yesterday enjoying each other’s company making gifts and sharing gifts. Thanks to all those who contributed to the coffees and fantastic Christmas fare.
CCSH has a tithe and offering container at the left side of the sanctuary as you enter for your grace giving for the work of the Lord here. – CCSH Account number: 2490144 & BSB: 306089 for those who wish to give electronically.
We ask that once the service has commenced that should you need to leave the sanctuary that you are mindful to not be a distraction to those worshipping and listening to God’s Word. If you are returning the ushers will direct you to seating at the back of the sanctuary – thank you for your consideration.
