The famous Christian preacher A.W. Tozer is often quoted as declaring that ‘the Christian life is not a playground, it is a battleground’. Indeed, the Bible indicates that the life of a Christian is one where this statement holds true (see Eph 6). If this is true of every Christian, how much more the Christian that desires for their life to be used by God? As they determine to give over more and more of their life for the purposes and will of God they can expect that the opposition, criticism, and attack from the enemy will intensify.
That the Christian life is a battleground is certainly the case for the Apostle Paul throughout the book of 2 Corinthians. As we have been studying this book, we have noticed that he has been addressing various accusations against his character, his ministry, his motives, and even his physical attributes. This Sunday night the 3rd of January we will return to our study of 2 Corinthians looking specifically at Chapter 10. In this chapter, Paul will defend his authority and in so doing outline four particular principles for today’s Christian, who is experiencing the battleground of the Christian life. In this way, we will learn the life of victory.
Join us this Sunday at 6.00 p.m. for a time of worship and study of God’s Word with Part 10 of our #Authentic series and a message titled “Victory”.
